Lessons on financial freedom at a young age

 I have seen enough people well past their sixties waking up for an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. job. Everybody seems to rationalize this by quoting a well-versed cliché, '"Well, they are keeping themselves active. If they stopped doing what they were doing they would not live for long." Pretty sure they would not live for long but not for the mentioned reason. The real question is: are these seniors having the best time of their lives waking up to go do these jobs or are they simply doing this just to get some money to survive? From the few that I know, I can tell that the main reason they are pushing their already tired bodies is just to make ends meet, and never mind this could even be self-employment. This is literally working for money till they drop dead. They don't even have time to sit down on a rocking chair with their grandchildren and tell them a story, or just take a walk and enjoy nature sceneries.
